It all started thanks to Baron.
When he was 10 years old, the caregivers moved to the cottage, placing it under the block. Apparently, the old dog did not fit into the new interior design…
I adopted him on April 30, 2007, just after completing the Think Dog! course.
Baron immediately became my shadow; he followed me step by step, barking whenever I disappeared from his sight for a moment. Meanwhile, I was aware that after the picnic, I would have to return to work and leave him alone for the whole day. I had 5 days to get him out of separation anxiety. I got to work right away. Thanks to the newly acquired knowledge, I knew how to go about it and… succeeded 😊 Baron calmly and quietly waited for me when I left for work. The problem never came back. It was our first success together.
Baron was genuinely unique.
Patient and peaceful like an Angel. In addition, a real dog gentleman – he did everything he could so that no dog would be afraid of him – all possible elements of body language that could help were used. He was clearly convincing because even yorkies (which the keepers did not take in panic on their hands) with hesitation but approached.
Deaf as a trunk (the veterinarian estimated that he lost his hearing as a result of long-term, untreated inflammation of the ears. Whoever has passed by knows how terrible this pain is);
Suffering from hip dysplasia, he had a problem with movement: it was difficult for him to get up, he walked slightly wobbly, and there was no question of running.
Despite this, always cheerful and cheerful. He smiled as beautifully as a dog could smile.
He proved to me every day that despite the pain, disability and terrible experiences, you can be happy and look at the world kindly…
He taught me to enjoy every moment; enjoy every day; appreciate what is good instead of focusing on what is wrong. He changed me forever. Certainly, it was one of the most valuable lessons of my life, and the Baron was the greatest Teacher I have ever had.
Working with Him was pure joy for me, and encouraged by the successes, I decided to deepen my knowledge about dogs and take up professional helping them and their families.
This is how the Baron School was established in 2008.
